So I have to eat my words. Today’s #marchmeetthemaker is going to be the shortest post. This throwback is of my first attempt at Castile soap. It is a soap made with just one oil – olive oil. No fragrance, no colour, just a simple, simple soap.

I think every soapmaker makes a batch of Castile bars sitting around curing. The allure of this soap appeals to many a maker as it tests your patience. You need to cure this soap for a year. Yep, you heard mi, a year. So this is probably my longest experiment too. Once I have tried it out to see if I want to add it to the Pretty Savage range, I will make some and then you lovely lot will have to wait a whole year before ordering. Who has this kind of patience, let’s see.
